Jack’s Racquet Room is our homage to the sports rooms that exist at prestigious recreational clubs in and around the Indian subcontinent, offering an escape into the boisterous atmosphere of a sports lounge with the feel of a storied members’ institution.

Whether it is having your favourite drink ready as you arrive or catching up on the latest highlights of your favourite clubs and players, genuine hospitality and sportsmanship are at the heart of our establishment.

Our big screens are always playing the top matches of the day in cricket, tennis, rugby and more. If there is a match on that you want to see, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

MEET JACK

Jack Gonsalves is a lifelong hospitalitier and one of Black Sheep’s most recognisable faces. His ability to seamlessly blend looking after his guests while keeping up with his favourite teams was the inspiration for Jack’s Racquet Room. 

Hospitality and sports are his two deep loves, and anyone who has met Jack, who has written the book on what Black Sheep hospitality is, knows he epitomises both.

Jack’s Racquet Room is open to all, but members have access to special prices, private booking and other exclusive perks.

Membership is available to anyone meeting one of these seven qualifications:

  1. Association Membership: Play for a registered Cricket, Tennis or Rugby association in Hong Kong.

  2. National Representation: Have represented Hong Kong in athletics at a national level.

  3. Judicial Membership: Be a past or present member of the Hong Kong Judiciary.

  4. Exclusive List Membership: Belong to one of the following groups: Civil Servants, History Professors or The Curry Club.

  5. Senior Members: Be over the age of 75.

  6. Community Membership: Have played in either The Great Rajasthan Rifles Cricket Championship or The Black Sheep Tennis Open.

  7. Officials Membership: Are a registered umpire or referee for an official sports team in Hong Kong.

Separately, membership at Jack's Racquet Room can be purchased for an annual fee of $20,000, which can be used as credit in our lounge.
